The “La Yebana” Cigar Factory of Manila, a Spanish owned Cigar and Cigarette factory run by “Baer Senior and Co.”, located in the province of La Laguna, Manila, Philippines, Front of card says “Hacienda Yeban: Rio Pinacanauan” referring to a Home or Location on the Rio Pinacanauan River located in the Philippines. This particular postcard came from the collection of Edward G. Fladung, Very Well known publisher of the “Priced Catalog of Postal Stationary of the World” and of “Higgins & Gage Inc. of Pasadena, California. This Postal Card includes its original documentation in the form of a Hand Written note on “Higgins & Gage, Inc.” Stationary qualifying the rarity of this card and details. The handwriting says: (“La Yebana” Cigar Factory Manilla – Can be found in the L.L. Corner (Lower Left Corner) Around a Dozen Known, Very Fine, Unused) Category UX3, 1 Cent Postal card, McKinley, 1903, Type “b” with Picture on Back, Cat. Value $100.00, This note was written back in the mid to late 1950’s, Mr. Fladung gave a valuation of this card in the neighborhood of $100.00 back Then. To bring you up to speed on the true value of this card today, an example of this same card recently came up for auction with the Very Respected auction house of Matthew Bennett, Inc., Serving the Philatelic World since 1948, and with over $7 Million in sales this year. The Auction held by them, Lot #1437, brought a final sale price of $2,600.00 for one of the aprox 12 known examples of the postal card we are offering here exclusively on Ebay alone.

A very rare card and I am glad that I've have finally seen one as I've heard of it a long time ago. Yes, there are twelve of them but this is the first one to come out in more than 20 years. So where are the other 11 cards? The third card with La Yebana view on #UX3 cards and another view on a#UX5 card.
